Basement construction underway

For anyone curious about the unglamorous, nitty-gritty details, I will post some photos below of the footings being laid out and poured.  Later today I will take some pix of the forms for the foundation walls being placed in position and will post them soon.  Right now our timetable is to pour the walls next Monday.  Then our mason will be "blocking up" from there, meaning filling the gap between the poured walls and the house with concrete blocks.  This is the best choice, rather than pouring the walls all the way up, since the house is slightly out of square.  If all goes well, the mound of dirt in our yard will be used to backfill the remaining hole by Monday the 24th.
