Another video (the director's cut)

This is a new video provided by my neighbor Errol, which INCLUDES the old video in the middle, but also has other footage and still shots both before and after the big move.  Most of it is after the move, as the foundation is being constructed.

In other news, the concrete floor is (really this time) supposed to be poured tomorrow, Wednesday.  Still having a bit of trouble pinning down the gas company on our meter reinstallation.  But a ton of progress has been made on the porches.  I'll take pictures later this afternoon and post this evening.

  1. Great video. Have you had a chance to see how the interior held up. Floors/walls/trim/etc.

    1. There is some plaster damage. Mostly it's just a few cracks that got bigger, but in our bedroom, a large (3-4' diameter) hole in the plaster ceiling is Project #1 upon our return to the house. Also, there are several places where wallpaper in various corners has a weird twisted effect, almost warped, as the different walls of the house were held up at sliiightly different levels by the jacking system. Another fun little project! Luckily I have scrap wallpaper.

The floors seem fine. The only other oddity is that the back door lock works very badly now, as it appears that the door and its frame got a tiny bit out of alignment. Shouldn't be too hard to fix.
